The 8th Annual Orchard Lake Fine Art Show happens July 30-August 1, 2010. We work throughout the year to make this Event different. It has grown to be in the top 100 art shows in the country the last three years in a row and brings 250 Award Winning Artists from around the globe to sell their art work in paintings, sculpture, clay, glass, fiber, wood, photography, mixed media, jewelry and more. Many of these artists produce enough Art to do only a few Events each year. This may be their only Midwest appearance. The event has been voted in the top 100 art shows in the country the last three years in a row; and, in 2009, won five awards from Michigan Festivals and Events.

New in 2010 Hot Works has teamed up with Charter Township of West Bloomfield and has a new and improved location in West Bloomfield, down the street from its previous location, now with high visibility from a major road, Orchard Lake Road, between 14 & 15 Mile Roads. West Bloomfield, MI has been voted Money Magazine’s Best Places to Live! [map]

Our goal is to be focused, get the right artists together with the right audience so that everyone has a pleasant and educational experience. The Orchard Lake Fine Art Show is an upscale Art show designed to enhance all the aesthetic senses. Live music will be playing throughout the Event. Fresh flowers on every table set the ambience of this first class Art show. Children's Art activities abound include plaster Painting, tie-dye T-shirts, candle making, face Painting. Live art demonstrations help you to understand the quality of what you see. The 4th Annual Youth Art Competition, sponsored by The Chadwick Accounting Group, offer kids in grades K-8 to enter their art work to be publicly displayed and an opportunity to win a cash prize! Even the food is different than in the typical Art show. Vineyards Deli, Harbor House, Red Wood Grille, Cosi and Trenton Ice Cream assure you of a variety of quality food, in addition to the kettle corn and roasted almonds. We feature a variety of beverages, including beer and wine, and a comfortable tented seating area. On Saturday, July 31 hours are from 10am-7pm and Sunday, August 1, from 10am-5pm.

Caesar’s Windsor Artist Preview Party, Friday, July 30, 6pm-9pm
The event opens on Friday, July 30, with a ticketed Artist Preview Party, sponsored by Caesar’s Windsor. This casual, outdoor gala provides patrons with the first choice to purchase artwork. $25 tickets include complimentary savories and up to two beverages, including beer & wine. Proceeds help support The Institute for the Arts & Education, Inc., a 501c3 non-profit organization that focuses on artistry and community enrichment.

THE CARRINGTON DUET
is David and Karyn Anderson, a father and daughter performing a pleasant blend of acoustic flute and synthesized keyboard. Their instrumental interpretations span several musical genres including classical, folk, light jazz, cinematic themes, and arrangements of familiar pop music.

Detroit's Zebula Avenue is poised to take the world music scene by storm. Their recently released international CD on Megawave Records received a 4 star review by William Ruhlmann in All Music Guide, a trusted voice in music content and criticism. Zebula Avenue's powerful world music style - a unique blend of African rhythms, soulful harmonies and urban guitars allows the band to feature their diverse songwriting sensibilities and astounding amounts of raw talent. Having amazed growing audiences in the Detroit Area throughout the past few years with their unique sound, they have become one of the fastest evolving musical acts in Michigan.
